The Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian Review
The Chronicles of Narnia. Prince Caspian the game is based on the film, of which it originates. The game follows the storyline of Narnia very well; giving the gamer a real experience, it takes you to Narnia. As soon as you start the game you are thrown straight into the action. it will not let you wait around. With a checklist and great instructions to follow; it makes the objectives of the game clear and easy to follow. The graphics of the game are good, if not a little simplistic to what we see now in many Xbox 360 games; though still very clear and playable. There are two different types of cut scenes in Prince Caspian; some of which are graphically done and others which are clips from the film. The graphical cut scenes are quick and simply. they show the area of where and what you need to do.They are the perfect representatives for what a cut scene should be like. nice and to the point. On the other hand you have the clips, which have been taken from the film. The majority of these clips last longer than the graphical ones; though are more enjoyable to watch as they are taken from the film. The variety of different cut scenes makes them enjoyable to watch as you get a better experience from the game. The sounds also help the aesthetics of the game, as they are realistic, really giving the sense that you are in Narnia! The game play is although pleasing, it does have one let down. There is a great variety of different characters for you to play; you can switch between all the characters will the press of one button, taking advantage of each characters qualities. Each character has a range of three or more attacks, making the range greater and more exciting. This range of characters and attacks, is then let down by being unable to rotate the screen of the game to see what is happening around your character. This makes navigating through the game more difficult, as obstacles get is your eye line and make seeing the objects around far more complicated.Prince Caspian also allows a multiplayer mode, letting you and a friend play the game together. This option advances the quality of the game greatly, as it makes the challenges easier to control. as you are not left to switch between all the characters yourself.Though as single player mode the inability to rotate the screen is a real let down; alongside the game not having a split screen mode.In multiplayer mode you and your partner are made to play on the same screen; you are therefore forced to move together and not have the freedom to travel by yourself. This would benefit the game as, for example, one of you could be attacking whilst the other collecting items to throw at the enemy. The Chronicles of Narnia. Prince Caspian is a great game to play for all the family, the terrific cut scenes and the large amount of challenges, characters and attacks make this game very worthwhile playing.Though it is let down by the lack of having a split screen in multiplayer mode and being unable to rotate the screen which is a necessity in most Xbox 360 games available currently.Though, regardless of these faults this game is one that you have to give a go.
